Photo Competition #surprisingindustrialheritage

The Industrial Heritage Route’s summer campaign 2026 is a photo competition! Visit one of the route destinations, take a photo on the theme “Surprising Industrial Heritage”, and enter the competition!

What surprised you along the Finnish Industrial Heritage Route?
What did you not expect?
What did you tell your friends about afterwards?
And what thoughts did it inspire?

How to participate

1. Take a photo of something, a theme, or an experience that surprised you at one of the route destinations.
2. Post the photo on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #yllättäväteollisuusperintö.
3. Give your photo a title or write in the caption what surprised you!
4. Tag @teollisuusperintoreitti so that we can find your photo!

You may enter with multiple photos.
By participating, you grant permission for your photo to be shared on social media and used in the marketing of the Industrial Heritage Route.

Competition period and prizes

The competition runs from 15 June to 31 August 2026. A jury consisting of representatives from the route destinations will make a preliminary selection of the photos, after which the winners will be chosen through a public vote during September. The voting results will be announced on 2 October 2026. Winners will be contacted personally via direct message or email, depending on how the photo was submitted.

Prizes

1. €200 gift card / Nuutajärven Lasi. The gift card can be used for hotel accommodation, restaurant services, admission tickets, or glassblowing experiences.
2. €100 gift card / Strömfors Ironworks. The gift card can be used for hotel accommodation, restaurants, or river experiences.
3. €50 gift card / Serlachius. The gift card can be used for admission fees, the museum shop, the Art Sauna, or the restaurant.
